Bouldering?

Bouldering. For a quick hit, in the cold, between the showers does a good job at quenching our appetites.

After injuring myself on it previously, I turned my attention to The Terrace. In a hour or so long revision break I managed to get up here and put his little nemesis to bed. It took me a while to commit, as I couldn’t bare injuring myself a second time, but I got there in the end.

Across the valley I turned my attention to Piss, and then the star of the show; Shit. A powerful roof leads to a bit of a shake and then the sloping horror that is Piss. I dropped it here a few times, but soon it all clicked into place and it felt fine. A really nice problem, with a sunset to match…

After a few sessions I also eventually got the super classic West Side Story at Burbage West, which I have since repeated a few times. It just feels so good. The longer this problem takes you the better in my opinion, as life after West Side Story just isn’t the same. A real jem and perhaps the best boulder I will ever do? Bold statement, but it might be true. Looking back these past few weeks have been some of the best that I’ve had on the boulders, with WSS the icing on the cake.

Have a good Christmas and New Years!
